For the first exhibition, the heart itself sets things in motion: ‘Wanneer het hart bronst’

A title that resonates warm, rhythmic, and full of life immediately setting the tone for what Third Place aims to be: a space where art and encounter beat to the same rhythm.

Together, Santens and D’Hondt create a meeting point between bronze and color, between silence and vibration, between movement and rhythm. The exhibition reveals how two worlds touch each other, and how art itself begins to pulse with a heartbeat.

Dirk Santens
Dirk Santens is the in-house artist of Third Place and a contemporary animalier. In bronze, he captures animals in full motion — powerful and tender at the same time.

His sculptures exude dynamism, yet also possess a quiet intensity. Each piece is a living moment, an echo of nature that reminds us of the bond between humans and animals.
